I found the staff friendly and the food very good the therapists whilst obviously working to a time line didn't make me feel rushed while having my treatments , facilities were clean and in good repair

The standard room I was in whilst clean was shabby the bathroom wasn't gr8 and I had to share it with 2 spiders and their friends just above me whenever I showered, also booking with you , you don't mention that you will be charged an xtra 24 95 per day to stay there during the day even though I had treatments booked ! Where else was I going to go in between ! You should mention this in the future .

    Location

Arrived at 7.45pm and restuart shutting also no room service also shut at 8pm as a business traveller wanted a meal , would not stay here again. Staff very unhelpful almost at if they are doing you a favour being there.

We were just staying for one night for b & b

It probably had marvellous spa facilities but the room was primitive - like a hospital room. Carpets worn. Tv rather dated, bathroom small. Similar to a Premier Lodge rather than a £300 per night accommodation. Welcome poor - staff member seemed indifferent.

    Nice rooms, lots of facilities

Reception area for hotel disjointed from the rest of the resort

Really relaxing, beautiful views could do as little or as much as you like. have as many treatments as you liked.

Not an ideal hotel for a single business traveller, I think I was the only person in breakfast not in a dressing gown! Still, nice enough hotel with good facilities.

Ended up having to go out for food as the last sitting in the restaurant is 20.30! No internet in the rooms.

The food was good eventhough it was only all healthy food. The room was clean and a decent size and the grounds were nice surrounding it.

I booked a double room but there was only a twin room for us when we arrived, the reception said they would send house keeping round to change it. I waited 20 minutes after a very long day and drive and called up again to ask where were they, and she said there was no answer, not helpful to us. It spoilt my 40th birthday and 16th anniversary, I was not happy. They blamed Booked.net and vice versa, meanwhile I am the one that is done over.

The jacuzzi and pool were relaxing and soothing.

The short time given to fit in treatments before incurring extra charges.

    The Staff are wonderful..

Be careful of Champneys billing, its deceptive, one gets charged for everything. Including breathing the air

One thing that isnt in print is that if you want to arrive before your booked time or stay after your booked time I was advised I would have to pay an extra £29,50 per person!! as you can imagine I was not impressed but after talking to the girl concerned was assured I could arrive at 2pm as a special allowance even though I shouldn't arrive till 5pm as that was when I was allowed in the room. However when we arrived the staff were far moe flexible and amiable than the person that I had spoken to on the phone.

Many facilities like showers and pool and general building are in need of repair. Staff are dismissive of the way the building and facilities are compared to what their we site shows. I think more could be done to train staff on how to greet guests and the maintenance staff need to repair basic faults with showers and other equipment. Leaving chemicals around the pool as weights to cover up repair work is unprofessional / dangerous. I was very disappointed with the response when I complained.

Plenty of treatments to choose from but very expensive. Grounds nice but not well kept. Food good but not exceptional. Facilities basic. Dated rooms. Not very busy classes with only a handful of people attending. No atmosphere in the restuarant. Nice that people dress for dinner and not turn up in dressing gowns. More staff than guests in restuarant. Staff in restuarant more interested in chatting to each other rather than serving guests. Thoroughly disappointed wanted to stay here for years and now I had the opportunity perhaps a hilton would have been better? Room service only available when restuarant open so if you arrive late you'll go hungry! Shops etc short drive away.

Not a very warm welcome, pricey treatments very much in and out with time to spare on advertised treatment times. Rooms very basic and dated. Depending on what room you book depends on what dressing gown you get and subsquently the service you get. Booked 2 nights b&b and was charged £24.95 for 'use of facilities' on second day - complete rip off to use pool and attend classes. Thoroughly disappointed with service and facilities won't be coming again most 4/5 star hotels have equally as good spa facilities and you can use their facilities swimming pool etc for free whilst staying there.

    The scenery

Staff rude & obnoxious, massage booked at 4pm and when I arrived 10 mins late was advised I couldn't have it (I did phone en-route to advise them). Bath in room didn't work and dinner menu sparse!!!
